Greentree Inn
Historically, many people of Medieval times were illiterate. Often times shops and inns displayed a well known symbol to let potential customers know what type of building they were. The symbol placed on a sign for an inn was commonly a tree. This sliver of history is how the Greentree Inn got its name.
The thatched roof tutorial and pictures are available here.
